Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information JB Sites collects, why, how it's looked after, and the rights you have over it. No jargon.

1. Who I am

JB Sites is a one-person business — a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, run by Jamie Billingham ("I", "me", "JB Sites"). I'm the "data controller" for the information described here. You can reach me any time at hello@jbsites.co.uk. As a small business I'm not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, so you can raise anything about your personal data with me directly.

2. What I collect

I only collect what I need to answer you and build your site:

You don't have to give me any of this — but I need the basics (your name, contact details and a description of what you want) to reply to you and build your site. Without them, I can't provide the service. There's no automated decision-making or profiling: I read and handle every enquiry myself.

3. Why I use it, and my lawful basis

4. Who I share it with

I use a small number of trusted providers to run the site and handle your messages. They only process your data to provide their service to me:

I do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

5. Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers (for example Formspree) are based outside the UK. Where your data is transferred abroad, it's protected by appropriate safeguards — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, Standard Contractual Clauses, or a country the UK recognises as having adequate protection.

6. How long I keep it

7. Cookies

This site doesn't set tracking or analytics cookies. The third-party services above may set strictly necessary cookies purely to function — for example when you submit a form.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to: give you a copy of your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how I use it; or provide it in a portable format. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just email hello@jbsites.co.uk and I'll sort it, usually within a month.

I won't use your details for marketing, and I'll only contact you about your enquiry or project — unless you ask me to do otherwise.

9. Complaints

I'd always like the chance to put things right first, so please contact me. You also have the right to complain to the UK's regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.

10. Children

This service is aimed at businesses and isn't directed at anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll change the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
